"I had old crowns that just didn't look good - they had dark lines and were overall just really dark. My crowned teeth didn't match the shade of my other teeth. Dr. Powell did LUMINEERS on my six front teeth and just covered up my existing crowns without having to even cut them off, and then he simply whitened the rest of my teeth with the SAPPHIRE whitening process. Now everywhere I go people comment on how beautiful my teeth look. I am just amazed at the transformation."

We Support MANNA Food Bank

On June 1, 2008 our office became an official collection site for MANNA Food Bank.  In an effort to support our community, we are committed to finding opportunities to contribute and give back.  Given the recent increase in the cost of gasoline and rising food costs, we called MANNA Food Bank to find out how we could help.

Everyday the news is reporting that more and more working families are struggling to meet the rising costs of food and gasoline.  We were struck by the fact that more people than ever before are turning to food banks to feed their children, and that food banks and agencies are struggling to meet the rising demand.  So, we decided to stop discussing it, and do something about it.  We called MANNA and asked how we could get involved.

Founded in 1982, MANNA Food Bank is a private, not-for-profit service organization, that links the food industry with more 327 member agencies throughout Western North Carolina.  The food that MANNA Food Bank supplies goes to provide more than 13, 000 meals each day for hungry children, men and women across our region.  On their website, MANNA Lists a long list of reasons to support their cause, but the one that truly called us to action was, that tonight, within two miles of each of us, a child, an elderly person and someone who is ill, will go to bed hungry.

Finding opportunities to help and support MANNA was easy; they need food contributions.  We are so excited about making regular contributions to MANNA, that we decided to offer the same opportunity to our patients (only if he/she has a desire, certainly NEVER any obligation).  Our front patient area will now have a small MANNA food barrel where anyone who desires can simply place a can, box or package of any type of food.  MANNA will routinely pick up these contributions and they will ultimately wind up on the table of a hungry family or individual in Western North Carolina.

If you have questions or want more information, please just call our office, 828-274-3882, or visit the MANNA Food Bank website, www.MannaFoodBank.com.
