Your first visit focuses on getting a thorough picture of your dental health, defining your personal goals for your teeth and putting together a dental plan that ensures Dr. Powell and his team meet those goals for you and more. Because this first visit sets the foundation for your care and covers so much, we schedule a full 90 minutes just for you.

• Welcome and Tour

  To help you feel completely comfortable in our office, your appointment starts with a quick tour. After receiving your paperwork, our receptionists will lead you on a tour of our office, pointing out sites of interest, such as our operatories, state-of-the-art sterilization room and lab. • Digital X-Rays and Cleaning

  To begin your exam, we literally get a picture of your teeth as they are today. We take those pictures with digital x-rays, which use 90 percent less radiation than traditional x-rays and require no development or chemicals (which has the added benefit of being better for the environment).

• Tooth-By-Tooth Exam

  Think of this as a physical for your teeth. After your cleaning, Dr. Powell examines your entire mouth.  Then, he visits each tooth individually and shares with you the current health of all your teeth.  

• Your Complimentary Co-Diagnosis and Comprehensive Dental Plan

  At no additional cost, Dr. Powell sits down with you one-to-one to discuss in detail your concerns and desires for your dental health. He will make recommendations for preventive care and any restorative or cosmetic treatments he believes would benefit you. With the knowledge gained from your exam and this discussion, together you and Dr. Powell will develop a comprehensive dental plan for you.

   
Which treatments you choose and how fast you want your treatment plan to progress are up to you-and Dr. Powell is happy to discuss all of this with you and help you make decisions that best fit your life. When you are ready to move forward, we will schedule appointments at your convenience and answer any questions. As this time, if you wish, we also will share with you payment options that include prepayment courtesy savings and long-term competitive financing plans (often at 0 percent interest rates).
